Convention brings 1,000 Santas and Mrs. Clauses to Branson this week

It’ll look and feel like a true Christmas in July this week as over 1,000 Santas and Mrs. Clauses fly into Branson to attend the tenth annual Discover Santa convention.

Set for July 6-10, Discover Santa will be the world’s largest ever meeting of Santas and Mrs. Clauses, with attendees traveling from all 50 states plus Europe, Asia, Australia, and, of course, the North Pole.

The five-day conference will include educational sessions, a Kringle Family Reunion, SNO-lympics, a Santa Blood Drive, Meet the Kringles Fashion Show, a Parade of Red Suits at the Branson Landing, opportunities to attend several Branson shows and dining experiences, and more.

The parade features 1,000 Santas and Mrs. Clauses in addition to custom Santa cars and appearances by celebrities like the Harlem Globetrotters. The parade is also being streamed online via Ustream and Periscope. National and local news media will be onsite covering the parade.

July 7-10, 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily

It’s fitting that the tenth annual event is held in Branson, as the original convention was hosted in the same spot in 2006.

The Discover Santa convention is produced by The Kringle Group, LLC under the direction of Santa Tim Connaghan. Santa Tim is the national Santa for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program, official Santa for the Hollywood Christmas Parade, and operator of the nation’s largest Santa school with over 3,000 graduates. He also produced the original Discover Santa Convention in 2006.
