Thousands gathered for the third annual Most Wonderful Time of Year parade earlier today at the Branson Landing in historic downtown Branson.
Formerly known as the Holiday Promenade of Stars, the parade was reinvented in 2013 in honor of Branson entertainer and Mr. Christmas himself, the late Andy Williams.
Mel Tillis was the Grand Marshal, while Jason Pritchett and Ellen Peterson served as color commentators. Rick Thomas was the on-stage emcee for the post-parade show which included musical performances by Billy Dean, Jason Pritchett, The Texas Tenors, Dean Z, Clay and Tina Cooper, SIX, New South, Pierce Arrow, The Hughes Brothers, Ellen Petersen, and The Lennon Sisters & Grandchildren.
The event concluded with all performers gathered on stage for a sing-a-long of “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of Year,” the iconic Andy Williams Christmas classic.
A broadcast of the parade and performances will be syndicated on several TV stations in seven surrounding states beginning on Thanksgiving day.
