Silver Dollar City (SDC) will unveil an all-new Broadway-style production as indoor shows return for the 2021 Christmas season.
“Home for Christmas” will be a 45-minute musical variety show at Red Gold Heritage Hall featuring 28 songs, including an original track created just for SDC.
A cast of 12 singers and dancers will be accompanied by a live four-piece band. The show will feature six unique Christmas scenes, to celebrate holiday traditions like tree-trimming, take a peek into Santa’s workshop, salute those that serve abroad during the holidays, remind us of the real reason for the season, and more.
This show takes the place of the park’s now-retired production of “It’s A Wonderful Life.”
“A Dickens Christmas Carol” will also return to the Opry House this year, with an all-new musical score.
Dickens and other indoor shows took a hiatus in 2020 due to Covid-19 but all are expected to return this season.
