Despite foggy weather conditions, thousands gathered at the Branson Landing this morning for the fifth annual Most Wonderful Time of Year parade.
Formerly known as the Holiday Promenade of Stars, the parade was reinvented in 2013 in honor of Branson entertainer and Mr. Christmas himself, the late Andy Williams.
Shoji Tabuchi was the Grand Marshal, while Melody Hart from “Raiding the Country Vault” and Tom Trtan, cohost of the local “Ozarks Live” television program, served as color commentators. Billy Yates (also from Raiding the Country Vault) was the on-stage emcee for the post-parade show which included musical performances by the Lennon Sisters, Janice Martin, the Texas Tenors, the Hughes Brothers, Clay Cooper, Brandon and Megan Mabe, New South, and the Showmen from Showboat Branson Belle.
The event concluded with all performers gathered on stage for a sing-a-long of “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of Year,” the iconic Andy Williams Christmas classic.
A broadcast of the parade and performances will be syndicated on 26 Nexstar television stations across the country beginning Thanksgiving day.
