If it’s not the holidays without ice skating or snow tubing, check out these spots for family fun in the Branson and Springfield areas.

Real Ice Skating & Tubing at Big Cedar Lodge

For 2025, Big Cedar is introducing an all-new ice rink and tubing experience. In past years this was a synthetic ice rink, but it’s now real ice! The rink is nestled among several beautifully decorated Christmas trees. It’s open to all ages.

DATES: Open daily Nov. 7 through Jan. 12, 2026 from 4 to 10 p.m.
PRICE: $30 per person for the public or $25 for overnight hotel guests, which includes skate rental.

Snow Tubing at Wolfe Mountain

The Branson Zip Lines and Canopy Tours is home to Wolfe Mountain, a Snowflex synthetic snow tubing hill. The year-round attraction is nestled in the natural beauty of the Ozark Mountains yet just a few miles north of the city along Highway 65. The 400-foot-long slope allows up to six tubes to run down simultaneously and is open to ages 3 and up.

Skating at Cassidy Station in Ozark/Nixa

Located 30 minutes north of Branson, Cassidy Station at Estes Farms will have a synthetic ice skating rink, as well as a Christmas tree lot, The Tipsy Reindeer cocktail bar, holiday mercantile shopping at Kringle Crossing, fire pits, s’mores, hot cocoa, and more.

Cassidy Station is also hosting a special Christmas Kickoff event on Nov. 28 & 29, featuring their Christmas store, holiday drinks, wagon rides, s’mores, live music, a drone show, a visit from Santa, food trucks, vendors, and more.

DATES: Open daily Nov. 13 – Dec. 31. Hours are 2-8 p.m. Mon-Wed, 2-9 p.m. Thurs-Sat, and 12-6pm Sundays.

Ice Skating at Bass Pro Shops in Springfield

New for 2025, Bass Pro Shops in Springfield has added a “Santa’s Wonderland Ice Rink” in the front parking lot of the flagship store. The event is open to the public and includes a custom ice rink, fire pits with s’more service, holiday decor, food and beverage service, photo opportunities, and more.

Note this is only available at the Springfield, MO location (45-60 minutes north of Branson), but it is along the way for many folks traveling to/from Branson. The onsite Wonders of Wildlife Aquarium is also very popular — they are presenting a new “Sea of Lights Enchanted Christmas” experience this year.

Indoor Ice Skating in Springfield

Brightspeed Ice Park is operated by the Springfield-Greene Country Park Board and is the most affordable option for skating on real ice. The indoor ice park is open year-round.

PRICE: Adults $7, Students/Seniors/Youth $6 for a one-hour session. Skate rental is an additional $3 (or bring your own skates).
