If you’re ringing in the new year in Branson, there’s no shortage of entertainment options on New Year’s Eve for all ages, both during the day and for your midnight celebrations.
Silver Dollar City
Silver Dollar City is open on New Year’s Eve, as their Old Time Christmas festival continues through Jan. 4. The park does not have any special plans for NYE other than their regular programming, and they do close at 9 p.m. However, crowds have been lighter on this day in year’s past and it’s a great way to spend a full day enjoying the shows, rides, lights, foods, and more at America’s Best Holiday Theme Park Event.
Fireworks
Many folks ask about fireworks displays, but these are more prevalent in Branson for the 4th of July than NYE. While there’s no city-wide event, there are two resorts that do put on a fireworks show for guests and partygoers:
- Chateau on the Lake has the most accessible fireworks display, as you can see them from many surrounding areas near the resort. You can find good viewing spots at Table Rock Lake State Park or any other public lots nearby. The resort is also hosting a large ticketed NYE party in the Great Hall (details below).
- Big Cedar Lodge has a fireworks display at midnight, but parking at the resort can be very limited. If you’re going this route, we’d recommend reserving a table at Devil’s Pool Restaurant or attending any of their other ticketed events.
New Year’s Eve Parties
- Chateau on the Lake New Year’s Eve in the Great Hall starts at 7 p.m. and features an extensive dinner buffet, full bar, desserts, live music until 12:15 a.m., a balloon drop and fireworks at midnight, midnight breakfast munchies, and more. The cost is $150 per person. For reservations call 417-243-1777.
- The Summit New Year’s Eve Party will feature two levels of entertainment, four bars, two DJs, a midnight balloon drop and champagne toast, and even a mechanical bull. Dinner service is available by reservation only from 5 to 7 p.m., and the party runs 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
- Big Cedar’s NYE Party at Grandview Conference Center features live music by Rosy Hips, party favors, midnight champagne toast, balloon drop, and a fireworks display. The resort also hosts a kids party, teen party, and reserved dining opportunities. See the full list of Big Cedar’s NYE offerings here.
- Hilton Branson Convention Center’s Midnight Masquerade party features live music, a top-shelf open bar, hors d’oeuvres and seafood towers from Level 2 Steakhouse, a photo booth, and a balloon drop and champagne toast at midnight. Formal attire and masquerade masks encouraged. Tickets are $225 per person and the event runs from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Party like it’s 1984 with 80s music videos and movies, affordable snacks, and a countdown to midnight with a balloon drop
