Celebrity chef and cooking show host Paula Deen will visit Branson’s Books-A-Million today for a book signing following the launch of her “At the Southern Table” cookbook.
While visiting local TV station KY3 this morning, Deen responded to questions about the possibility of her opening a restaurant in the area.
“Branson has been on our to-do list for quite a while and I’m hoping that one day we will,” said Deen. “Branson…that’s my people. I need to be there for ’em.”
While in town, Deen visited local favorite Sugar Leaf Bakery and Cafe, where she sampled a variety of offerings including their s’more cookies.
Deen and her sons operate The Lady and Sons Restaurant in Savannah, Ga., as well as Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen locations in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. and Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Tickets for today’s Branson appearance from 1 to 3 p.m. are still available and include a copy of the book.Sign up now for the Branson Christmas newsletter to get these stories delivered straight to your inbox.
