Let’s face it: theme park tickets aren’t cheap, especially if you’re trying to bring the whole family.
Branson’s Silver Dollar City is no exception, but there are a few ways to stretch your ticket dollars to be sure you get the best experience at the lowest possible cost.
Here are a few options for finding the best pricing on tickets to Silver Dollar City, known around the globe for its impressive “Old Time Christmas” celebration.
Single and two-day tickets online
However, A two-day ticket is available for just a few more dollars — $65 for adults and $54 for children. That equates to $32.50 per day for adults and $27 per day for children.
After 7, next day free promo
As the title suggests, if you enter the park after 7 p.m., you can return the next day for no additional charge. You could spend the first night casually enjoying the lights and then visit the next day for all the shows, rides, and even more lights.
This promotion is helpful if you’re holding a single-day ticket as it really gives you a day-and-a-half of enjoyment or the price of one day.
Price Cutter $40 Thursday tickets
If you’re able to visit on a Thursday (also the least busy day of the week in the park), stop by select Price Cutter locations in Missouri (including Country Mart, Ramey, Smitty’s, Summer Fresh, and Bistro Market) to purchase discounted SDC tickets for just $40.
There are two Country Mart’s near the park:
18128 State Hwy 13, Branson West, Mo.
1447 MO-248, Branson, Mo. (Shepard of the Hill Expy)
The $40 tickets can be purchased any day, but can only be used on a Thursday the park is open from Nov. 12 through Dec. 17.
The After-7-Next-Day-Free promotion mentioned above does not apply to the discounted Price Cutter Thursday tickets.
Season passes — best option for multiple visits
If you plan to visit SDC more than once next year, you should take advantage of the option to upgrade an existing single-day ticket to a 2016 season pass (for unlimited entries) for just $50 — that’s less than a single day ticket!
You must purchase the upgrade while you’re still in the park (there’s a booth near by the exit). Upgrades do not include the complimentary guest tickets that accompany the full-price season passes.
This upgrade is even available with Price Cutter $40 Thursday tickets, which means you get to enjoy the park that day plus all of 2016 operating dates for $85 (plus tax).
Season pass holders receive a 10% discount on food purchases inside the park and a $5 discount on single-day tickets for others in your party.
You’re not eligible for the upgrade if you currently hold a 2015 season pass, though those passes can also be renewed during your visit or online.
