Christmas tree competition introduced to encourage area holiday participation

The Branson Christmas Coalition has introduced an Ozark Mountain Christmas tree competition for area businesses, residents, and organizations this holiday season.

The competition aims to beef up participation in an initiative to present the largest and most varied display of Christmas trees in the country.

Contest entrants will compete in one of four categories: commercial businesses, lodging properties, residential, or churches, community, and civic organizations. Entry forms are due Fri., Nov. 4 and trees must be on display and ready to be judged by Mon., Nov. 7.

First place winners in each category will receive $500 cash, advertising packages worth more than $1,000 each, and more. Details and entry forms can be found at bransonchristmas.org.
